Erect and open shrub, 2 - 4m x 1.5 - 2.5m. Unusual large leaves with coarse sandpaper texture and attractive new growth. Large deep yellow rod-like flowers, 4 - 7cm long in leaf axis, from August - October. Drought and frost resistant. Warm, well drained, sunny aspect required. Responds well to pruning once established with heavy pruning tolerated to keep good form. Unusual flower and foliage. Rare plant from South West WA Wongan Hills.
